On 22 January,2016 Google has been launched free Wi-Fi in India.As last year Google explained their plan of action, how Google want to provide  free public Wi-Fi  access over maximum trains stations across India. As per plan Google just launched free public Wi-Fi at Mumbai Central Station.This is a joint venture of RailTel and Google  India. RailTel is a government agency that provides broadband and VPN service. With this free Wi-Fi service, the travelers will be able to easily access internet while waiting for train. More than 23 million people travels through train in India, and most of travelling people spend lot of time in train stations. So Google comes forward and started free public Wi-Fi in India.Firstly Google launched free Wi-Fi at Mumbai Central station and slowly Google will launch free Wi-Fi at other railway stations too. Here we are learing about how to connect to Google’s free RailWire Wi-Fi network in India.

How to connect to Google’s free RailWire Wi-Fi network

If you have an active Indian mobile phone number,then you can connect your smartphones, laptops or tablets to the RailWire Wi-Fi netwok. Whenever you try to connect a device to the Wi-Fi network,you will need to enter this phone number every time.

Step 1: Go to Wi-Fi settings,in your device’s (smartphone, tablet or laptop) and select the RailWire network.select the RailWire network

Step 2: Open your web browser and enter the URL railwire.co.in into the browser window. enter the URL railwire.co.in

Step 3: Then, enter your phone number in the Wi-Fi login screen and press RECEIVE SMS. press RECEIVE SMS

Step 4: You’ll receive an SMS message with a 4-digit OTP code. Enter the code in the Wi-Fi login screen and press DONE.press DONE

Step 5:  From there, you’ll see a checkmark letting you know you’re now connected to fast, free wi-fi. checkmark for fast, free wi-fi

That’s all, now you are connected to Google’s free RailWire Wi-Fi network.This network has very good speed,you can easily stream high-definition videos. Though Mumbai Central is the first railway station in India to get Google and RaiTel’s RailWire Wi-Fi network. Google is planning on rolling out the network in  400 railway stations across the India, with Allahabad, Patna, Jaipur and Ranchi and other stations will follow very shortly.
