Sony has announced their latest flagship, Xperia Z4, in Japan. After weeks of rumors and leaks, Sony finally unveiled the much awaited phone on their Japanese website.
The Xperia Z4 has a 5.2 inch 1080p Triluminous display. Measuring 146 mm × 7 mm × 6.9 mm, it weighs about 144g. It comes with the latest Snapdragon 810 SoC and Adreno 430 GPU, 3 GB RAM and 32 GB internal storage, expandable up to 128 GB via external microSD card. It runs Android 5.0 Lollipop out of the box.
Rear camera is a 4K video recording capable 20.7 MP one with Exmor RS 1/2.3″ sensor, offering ISO12800 which means better exposed images even in poor light. A new feature called ‘Cooking mode’ is also added for better images of food. Secondary camera is a 5 MP wide angle one with Exmor R sensor which can record videos at 1080p. Powering all of these is a 2,930 mAh sealed battery. It also has IP68 certification, which means it is dust and water resistant.
It will be available in white, black, copper and aqua green. As of now, there are no details about pricing or the international launch yet.
