Razer Basilisk X HyperSpeed Wireless Gaming Mouse Review

What you get inside of the box?

In the box, you will see the mouse itself, the user manual, a single double-a battery, and the classic Razer stickers.

Design & Look with mouse buttons

The design of the basilisk is just the same as the basilisk ultimate without the side, scroll buttons, and RGB. It kind of looks like a black car with no headlights on there are no lights emitted from the mouse itself on the bottom of the mouse. You will find four pads the sensor and a 3-way toggle between the wireless Bluetooth mode and the 2.4 gigahertz USB receiver mode.

On the back of the mouse, you’ll find a magnetically held cover. It’s housing, a single double-a battery, and the nano receiver moving up, there are the DPI toggle and the left and right-click on the right side. There’s this semi-grippy material and on the left side as well. The same semi, grippy material can be found with its 2 programmable buttons, and a thumb wrist can as well be found making it a comfortable experience to grip. Something you will like about the design is its simplicity.

Build quality

This mouse is super simple, yet effective, something we thought was sleek was the nano receiver. We like how it’s one streamlined shape compared to the similarly-looking Logitech g600 2. One drawback, in our opinion, is the lack of rechargeability via any sort of cable. The fact that we have to rely on a single double-a battery is a downside, in my personal opinion, now looking at what this mouse has to offer, which is different from other mice on the market. One of the main things is that this is one of the razors’ hyperspeed wireless mice, which means that it’s 25 % faster than any other wireless technology available on the market.

This makes it so that you will not be able to tell that you are using a wireless mouse when gaming, due to its high-speed transmission and low click latency, if want to save some battery, you can also switch to Bluetooth mode. Another feature for this most is that it has a razer 5g optical sensor, which has a 99.4 % tracking accuracy and has up to a 16,000 dpi sensor. One more thing that the basilisk mouse has to offer is that you have up to 450 hours of usage time when in Bluetooth mode and 285 when in hyperspeed mode, our experience with the mouse has been very good. we really do like how simple clean and minimalist it looks.

Mouse weight system

This mouse is 83g in weight. It is quite light in your hand and easy to move around, creating a very positive experience. You also really enjoy how it sits in your palm comfortably without any discomfort. Honestly. this mouse also does remind you of the Logitech g600.

Final Words:

The left and right clicks are super satisfying, although we felt that the side buttons felt a bit cheap. In our personal opinion, moving on to the pros and cons of this mouse, the pros are that it’s lightweight, very precise, and has a really affordable price tag, but on the downside, the cons are that it lacks ports, lacks RGB and is somewhat cheap feeling.

In conclusion, the Razer basilisk X hyper-speed Mouse, although feeling a little cheap is hitting all the points for great performance. Mouse despite it not having RGB that shouldn’t stray away from people from buying this mouse because of its minimalistic values. Click here to buy
