Swadeshi SIM Card and Kimbho Messaging App

Ramdev Baba’s Patanjali is now most trusted Consumer Goods brand in India and now Yoga guru Ramdev Baba entered into Telecom and IT sector. On Sunday, 27th May, Baba Ramdev launched Swadeshi Samriddhi SIM cards, in association with Bharat Sanchar Nigam Limited (BSNL). Let’s see in brief about Swadeshi SIM card and Kimbho messaging app.

Speaking on the occasion of the launch, Ramdev had said government-owned BSNL is a ‘Swadeshi network’ and the motive of both Patanjali and BSNL is the welfare of the country. “There are five lakh counters of BSNL and from there people can soon get Patanjali swadeshi-samradhi card,” Ramdev said.

Sunil Garg, BSNL Chief General Manager, who was also present here also praised the tie-up of Patanjali and BSNL.

“Patanjali’s plan is BSNL’s best plan. In Rs 144, one can make unlimited calls from any part of the country. We are giving 2 GB data pack, 100 SMSs. The members of the Patanjali has to just show their identity and there SIM will be activated soon after some paperwork,” he said.

After Swadeshi Samriddhi SIM card launch Baba Ramdev launched a messaging application “Kimbho” and it will compete with WhatsApp.

Kimbho is a Sanskrit word, which is used to ask, “How are you? What’s new?”

Patanjali’s spokesperson SK Tijarawala also tweeted, “Now Bharat will speak. Our own #SwadeshiMessagingplatform. Download it directly from Google Play store.”

Kimbho has numerous features that are like WhatsApp. It enables users to send messages to people or gives them the option to make new groups. The application likewise enables users to communicate messages to different users at the same time. A user can likewise follow a favorite celebrity on the application and send doodles too, features like those offered by Instagram or Snapchat. The application seems to help video calling. Different features include voice calls, and enabling users to share multimedia files and stickers.
