Finally wait is over! Google launched GCP(Google Cloud Platform ) in India with new Mumbai region. On Tuesday, October 31, 2017 Dave Stiver, Product Manager, Google Cloud Platform aanounced that the first Google Cloud Platform region in India is now open for all users to build applications and store your data. He also promised that  to significantly improve latency for GCP customers and end users in the area.

Datacenters, known as Asia-south1, will give enhanced execution to people in India getting to applications that Google Cloud clients have running in the area. As per Google, end clients in Chennai, Hyderabad, Bangalore, and Mumbai will see application latencies 20-90 percent lower than when serving a similar data from Singapore, the organization’s next closest cloud region.

Google reported the region a year ago, when it uncovered an arranged gigantic development of its cloud hardware impression. This is a piece of the organization’s turn to broaden the physical areas clients can use to have their applications and information, as Google Cloud contends with Amazon Web Services, Microsoft Azure, and different suppliers.

At start, the region will bolster a restricted subset of Google Cloud services, including App Engine, Container Engine, and Compute Engine. The Google Cloud area in India will soon spread to two more zones to empower Cloud services crosswise over India. The Mumbai area is among the most recent in the Asia Pacific zone, where Google Cloud services are accessible in Singapore, Taiwan, Sydney and Tokyo in Asia Pacific.
