WhatsApp-Voice-Calling

After lot of prediction it looks like now WhatsApp has started rolling out voice calling feature in India. It’s way back in Feb 2014 the WhatApp founder and chief executive,Jan koum announced free voice calling will come soon on WhatsApp. After that no any official announcement by WhatsApp regarding voice calling feature,but few days back the screenshots of this voice calling feature were leaked online by androidworld.nl.  Now this time GSM arena pointed out that one Reddit user called pradnesh07 was able to get the WhatsApp voice calling feature activated on his Nexus 5 smartphone running on Android 5.0 Lollipop.  Pradnesh07 posted on Reddit that,“I can’t seem to send invites to other people, the only thing I can ensure is that it works in India for people running Lollipop 5.0.x on a Nexus 5. Other Indians without the earlier combo don’t get it.” According him  for this update you have to update your WhatsApp  to 2.11.508 version and this update is restricted to Android only.He also uploaded video of WhatApp voice calling on Youtube.

He also posted images on Imgur.Posted images shows this voice calling feature has icon for call, beside the Chats and Contacts tabs. Like other voice calling services feature this  WhatsApp voice calling feature also keep a record of recent WhatsApp calls.

Few days back WhatsApp rolled out web version of WhatsApp but it accessible only through chrome browser and supports only Windows,Android and Blackberry. Still iOS user can’t use web version of WhatApp.Hope this voice calling  update will get to all WhatsApp user soon and recently Hike rolled out free voice calling features and viber has already voice calling service so to rival that WhatsApp rolling out voice calling update to their users.
