Samsung announced the launch of its latest flagships, the S6 and S6 Edge, today in India. The base prices of Galaxy S6 and S6 Edge are Rs. 49,900 ($800) and Rs. 58,900 ($945) respectively.

Both the smartphones will be available in all three storage options – 32, 64 and 128 GB. Galaxy S6 is priced at Rs. 55,900 ($897) for 64 GB and Rs. 61,900 ($993) for 128 GB. The S6 Edge is priced at Rs. 64,900 ($1,041) for 64 GB and Rs. 70,900 ($1,137) for 128 GB variant. That means each storage increase will cost you an additional Rs. 6000 ($96), and if you wish to opt for the Edge variant, then you have to pay Rs. 8000 ($128) for that.

All four color options are also made available to the Indian customers -White Pearl, Black Sapphire, Gold Platinum and Blue Topaz for Galaxy S6, and White Pearl, Black Sapphire, Gold Platinum, and Green Emerald for Galaxy S6 Edge.

Samsung is taking pre-orders through its official Indian e-store website starting today, for Rs. 2000 ($32), and shipment will start from April 10. Pre-booking will end on April 5th, and the remaining amount should be paid by 12th April, failing which the pre-order will get cancelled.

Customers who wish to pre-order will be getting a few freebies from Samsung – Free one time screen replacement withing 12 months, Payback points in case there’s a cashback offer introduced withing six months (on or before 10 October 2015) by Samsung, ‘No Extra Cost’ 18 months EMI from HDFC and ‘No Interest’ EMI from Bajaj Finserv.
