FacebookOn Tuesday at Mumbai Facebook started free internet service on mobile phones in India, and service is being provided in tie-up with Reliance Communications (RCOM). Internet.org is Facebook initiative to provide free internet to mobile phone users in developing countries. The Internet.org app will offer lot of services ranging from education, health, jobs, communication, travel, sports and government information. According to RCom,these service are free of cost to RCom users. You can either call to180030025353 which is toll free or log on to www.internet.org , to get internet.org activated. For Android feature phones you can download an internet.org app. Once you install app and logged in to internet.org ,you will welcomed with two tabs namely free service and Relaince. Free services tab included 38 content partners websites which are provides free internet access, and these services are also available in local languages like Hindi, Marathi, Tamil, Telgu, Gugrathi, Malayalam and English too. Both Facebook and RCom promised that more services and languages will be added soon.

Facebook has only given the lite version of Facebook app and Facebook Messenger and at the moment no other social network on internet.org app. Now the internet.org app only available for Android platform and if you are not Android user then you have to go online via internet.org mobile website. Initially Internet.org in six states -, Maharashtra, Tamil Nadu , Gujarat, Andhra Pradesh ,Kerala and Telangana – and then gradually across the country.
