While Facebook is an easy way to connect with old and new friends, it certainly comes with a few headaches. Request of games and applications is the topmost annoying thing for an average user. Such users receive at least 2 out of 5 Facebook notifications like:
Your friend invited you to play Candy Crush
Your friend invited you to play Who Miss you Most?

To block a friend from sending requests
If you have a friend whose daily routine is wake up-be online-eat-be online-sleep-repeat, and his/her games requests and subsequent personal requests to accept them have got you popping sleeping pills, then you would want to block ALL of his/her requests. Here’s what you have to do.
Open Settings: Click on the drop down option at the top right corner of the page, and then click on Settings
Open Blocking page: Click on Blocking at the left side of the page
Go to ‘Block invites from’ option: Click on the empty box and enter the name of the friend who sends you the most requests. You can add more than one person here.
Now you have blocked requests from specific friend(s).
Note: This method won’t block his/her profile. It will only block the requests he/she sends you.
To block a Game/App completely
If you have got issues with a specific game, and not your friend, then read on to find out how to block a game/app completely.
When you receive an invitation in your notification tray, there will be a cross (X) at the right end.
Click on the cross, you will be asked if you want to turn off future notifications.
Click “Turn Off” and you are done.
But for this, you have to get an invite first, and then too you can block ONLY the game/app for which you have received the invite.

In case you don’t have a notification of game invite, and don’t want to wait till getting one, then you can always try the next method.
Open Settings: Click on the drop down option at the top right corner of the page, and then click on Settings
Open Blocking page: Click on Blocking at the left side of the page
Go to ‘Block apps’ option: Click on the empty box and enter the name of the app which you want to block completely. You can add more than one game here.
Now you have blocked game(s) or app(s) completely. No matter who sends you request, you won’t receive the invite!
There are other ways to block them but these methods are enough to block all the invites! And by the way, if you don’t have time to scroll through unwanted notifications, how will you find the extra time required for the more complex methods?
So, there it is, different simple methods to block those annoying requests and you can have a much better time out there on Facebook. (Come on, who would want to go through those notifications each time?) And be happy with what Facebook was originally made for – Chats and Posts!
