Helping Women Get Online is an initiative started by Google in India to empower women by teaching them how to use internet.India is fast growing towards become second-largest internet market in the world.According to IAMAI(Internet and Mobile Association of India)internet user in India crosees 200 million mark at the end of 2013,but  it very different according to your gender.In 200 million internet user only a third are women and only 14% of India’s women who use the Internet lives in rule areas.

In India digital gender gap is larger than those of most developing countries.The knowldge of Internet improve women’s standard of living as well as Internet helping to imagine new possibilitties-and then,to make them happen.Better acess of information about health and finance can help the lower maternal and infant mortality rates. That helps to improve rise in GDP.As Mahatma Gandhi said,educate a women and you educate a nation.Thats why Google started Helping Women Get Online with help of different partners,and aim of HWGO is bringing 50 million womens in India online by the end of 2014.
Mission of HWGO is to teach internet to every Indiangirl/women throgh all over country.Women within India will also be able to call a toll free helpline number 1800.41.999.77 to get any answers for any quetions that they may have about Internet.This is the one step by Google towards closing digital divide men and women and between developed and developing countries

Rakhi Paliwal :  A young politician who a strong advocate of women empowerment. She holds classes in her village to help women benefit from the Internet and believes that women should not be held back and should be able to fulfil their dreams. Rakhi is out to change the world. 
Nisha Madhulika: A retired lady, who didn’t know what to do with her time started blogging and posting videos on cooking and is a successful YouTube Chef today with a channel that has over 85,000 subscribers an more than 50,000 views a day. 
Neela Kaushik: A mother in a new city who was lost and lonely, found a community of other mothers and created a site called gurgaonmoms.com. In Neela’s words, she found a purpose.
