CV Raman’s 125 Birthday Google Doodle
Today Google India has posted a doodle on its homepage. To honour Srinivasa Ramanujan on his 125th birthday. The postage-stamp-like Google doodle celebrating CV Raman’s birthday. It has face appearing behind the letter G and on the adjacent stamp to the right the other letters in the Google logo show the Raman effect.

Today is November 7,2013 and it s 125th birth anniversary of most famous Indian scientists Sir CV Raman .Actually Chandrasekhara Venkata Ramanwas born at Trichinopoly in Southern India on November 7th, 1888. His father was physics teacher so he also was grown up with physics love. Sir CV Raman did master degree in physics from Presidency College Madras. After that he joined government service as accountant in 1907. And after that he became professor of physics in 1917 at Calcutta University. After doing lot of research in physics finally in 1928 Sir CV Raman find out Raman Effect it also called as Raman Scattering effect. And it described in shortly as: change in the wavelengthof lightthat occurs when a light beam is deflected by molecules. So Raman Effect is totally related with light. Raman Effect was great discovery by Sir CV Raman. And it very useful in physics and today’s modern optics fiber science. Due to this discovery and lot of contribution in physics. And also mathematics he got lot of awards. In 1929 Raman was knighted by British monarch and he received Nobel Prize in Physics in 1930. After that he rewarded by Bharat Ratna in 1954. and Lenin peace prize in1957. Lastly CV Raman died on November 21, 1970 at aged 82, in Bangalore.
